REPAIR A DISC

Repair Guide

As with any type of repair there are always some which are classed as a write off or beyond repair.

To help to decide wether or not your disc is repairable and to help with packing your disc(s) to us this guide will hopefully help in answering those questions for you.

The main reason we are unable to repair a disc is if the data layer has been damaged. The data layer is sandwiched in between two layers of plastic (polycarbonate) and if the damage to your disc has penetrated this then unfortunately your disc cannot be repaired.

So if your disc has split or cracked then this is not repairable, also any damage to the label side of the disc is also not repairable.

The best way to tell if a scratch has penetrated the data layer is to hold it up to the light and if damage can be seen all the way through then this has more than likely damaged the data layer.

If your still in doubt then no need to worry you can still send us your disc(s) and if we find it can not be repaired then we will return the disc(s) to you and either refund  the repair charge in full or credit  you with a free repair next time which ever you prefer.Guaranteed.

To send your disc to us please ensure it is packed suitably as disc's sent to us are the senders responsability. Once you have completed checkout you will be diverted back to our site with details of where to send your disc.

The best way to do this is to use a jiffy bag, if this is not available then a normal envelope with the disc placed in between some thin card just to help protect it from further damage.

PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO INCLUDE CASES AND BOOKLETS  as this increases postage costs for both of us.

Once we receive your disc(s) we will email you to let you know and also let you know when the disc will be back on its way to you this will more often be the same day we receive it but sometimes please allow an extra day as we do get really busy.

Don't forget any questions please feel free to email us at

repairadisc@btinternet.com   Thank You.
