As you probably know a Playstation 3 game is basically a Blu-ray disc, so from this point when we refer to Blu-ray we will include PS3 as well.

 There is a big difference in the way a Blu-ray disc is designed and constructed to a normal say DVD disc so therefore we have to treat the repair process very differently as well.

 Unfortunately for us and you as well the level of protection to the data on a blu-ray disc is extremely thin, the only saving grace is that the protective layer is a lot harder than a standard DVD or CD. The diagram below should help show this.

Therefore if your Blu-ray disc has suffered extreme damage then its probably only fit for the bin as we can only repair a minimum amount of damage until the data is affected.

As stated earlier the surface of a Blu-ray disc is much harder than a normal DVD and therefore costs a little more to repair each one and as such we have had to reflect this in the repair cost.
